Sauerkraut Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. drained sauerkraut
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. diced celery
    1/2 c. shredded carrots
    1/2 c. green pepper strips
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1/3 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. salad oil
Preparation
    Stir sugar into sauerkraut and let stand for 1/2 hour.
    Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
    Place in covered dish and refrigerate for at least 12 hours.
