Chicken, Wine, Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. chicken, cut up (or use chicken parts)
    flour
    2 Tbsp. salt or to taste
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1 c. dry white wine
    1/4 c. sherry
    1 Tbsp. tarragon vinegar
    1 tsp. thyme
    1/2 lb. or so mushrooms
Preparation
    Skin and trim fat from chicken.
    Shake in bag with flour, salt and pepper.
    Brown in salad oil.
    Reduce heat to low; add wine, mushrooms, tarragon, thyme and brown sugar.
    Cover and simmer until fork-tender.
    Serve with rice.
