Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 c. chopped pecans
1 lb. raisins
1 lb. red cherries
1 lb. green cherries
1 lb. pineapple
1 lb. dates
3 sticks margarine
9 eggs
3 c. plain flour
2 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt or 1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. apples (chopped and peeled)
fig preserves (optional)
Preparation

Makes 2 tube pound cakes.
Cook approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours at 250\u00b0.
Make sure to place a pan of water in oven while cooking.
