Corn Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter (margarine)
    4 medium onions, diced
    4 medium baking potatoes, diced (2-inch cubes)
    1 c. water
    1 pkg. frozen corn (20 oz.)
    2 c. half and half
    1 c. milk
    1 (15 oz.) can creamed corn
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, melt butter or margarine.
    Add onions. Saute until pale in color (do not brown).
    Add potatoes, water and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
    Heat to boiling.
    Reduce heat.
    Cover.
    Cook until tender (15 to 20 minutes).
    Add corn, creamed corn, half and half and milk.
    Continue cooking (no cover) on medium heat, 25 to 30 minutes.
    Stir occasionally.
    Makes 6 cups.
    Contains 260 calories per cup.
