Apple Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour
1 3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. shortening
1 beaten egg
1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. grated apple
Preparation

Cut shortening in dry ingredients.
Mix egg, milk and apple; add all at once to dry ingredients.
Mix well.
Fill greased muffin pans 2/3 full.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes* or until golden brown.
Remove immediately, roll in 1/2 cup melted butter, then in mixture of 1/2 cup of sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
Serve warm.
