Pecan Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter or margarine
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. flour
    2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg yolks.
    Add flour and vanilla. Spread batter evenly on cookie sheets.
    Beat egg whites and spread over batter.
    Sprinkle nuts on egg whites and press in.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 45 minutes to 1 hour until very light brown.
    Cut in squares while hot.
