Cheesy Vidalia Onion Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium onions, sliced
    3 Tbsp. butter, melted
    6 slices American cheese
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 c. seasoned bread crumbs
    1 tsp. salt
    paprika
    1 tsp. basil (dried) or 3 Tbsp. fresh basil
    4 medium tomatoes, sliced (about 1 1/2 lb.)
Preparation
    In a medium glass bowl, microwave onions, covered in plastic wrap, on High 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 minutes.
    Stir once, then add salt, basil and pepper.
