Scotch Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter (real)
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. sifted plain flour
Preparation
    Cream butter with sugar until light and fluffy.
    Gradually add flour.
    Roll dough on floured board to 1/4-inch or 1/2-inch thick. Cut in small squares or diamond shapes.
    Bake at 275\u00b0 for about 45 minutes or until lightly browned.
    While hot, sprinkle with fine granulated sugar.
