Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
3/4 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg white

Preparation

Mix sugar, water and syrup together in a bowl.
Pour in pot. When it starts to boil, cover and cook for 5 minutes.
Cook until soft ball stage.
Beat egg white.
Gradually add syrup mixture to egg white.
Add vanilla.
Beat with a spoon until ready to drop by spoonfuls on wax paper or pour in a buttered dish.
