Jan'S 24 Hour Green Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, shredded
    1/3 c. sliced green onions
    1/4 c. sliced water chestnuts
    1 pkg. frozen peas
    2 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    6 hard-cooked eggs
    1/2 c. bacon bits
    1/4 c. chopped celery
Preparation
    Mix shredded lettuce with all the vegetables.
    Mix mayonnaise with Parmesan cheese, salt, garlic and sugar; cover vegetable mixture.
    Cover dish and chill in refrigerator for 24 hours before serving. Grate the eggs over the top and sprinkle with bacon bits.
