Fruit Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg
    1/3 c. butter
    fruit
    sugar (optional)
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients twice.
    Add beaten egg, mixing with fork until crumbs form.
    Sprinkle over fruit
    (apples or peaches are best).
    Sugar may be added to fruit before it's put into baking dish.
    Melt butter.
    Pour over top. Bake 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
