Apple Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 tsp. vanilla
    2/3 c. sifted flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. diced apples
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Beat eggs with sugar and vanilla.
    Sift flour with baking powder and salt; add to first mixture.
    Add apples and nuts.
    Pour into greased 12 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes. Serve with scoop of ice cream on the side or whipped topping on top.
