Chop Suey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp oil
    1/2 lb lean pork, cubed
    1/2 lb veal, cubed
    1 medium onion, minced
    1 tsp pepper
    2 Tbsp flour
    1 cup water
    1 (2 oz) can mushroom pieces
    1 1/2 cups celery
    1 #2 can bean sprouts
    3 Tbsp soy sauce
    water chestnuts
Preparation
    Heat oil and brown pork and veal lightly.
    Add onion, brown lightly.
    Stir in flour, pepper and water.
    Bring to a boil, reduce heat.
    Cover and cook 1 hour.
    Add celery and mushrooms and cook 15 minutes more.
    Add bean sprouts, soy sauce and water chestnuts during last 5 minutes of cooking.
    Serve over rice. Serves 6.
