Spaghetti Sauce For Canning(7 Pints) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

12 c. tomatoes, peeled and cut up
1/2 c. vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, chopped or 1 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
3 bay leaves
1/4 tsp. basil
5 tsp. salt
1 1/4 tsp. black pepper
4 medium onions, chopped
2 tsp. oregano
3 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
5 Tbsp. brown sugar
Preparation

Combine oil, pepper and onion.
Cook onion until transparent. Add all other ingredients, except sugar.
Cook sauce 2 1/2 to 3 hours, adding the sugar the last hour of cooking.
Pour hot sauce into hot jars and seal.
May also put into containers and freeze.
