Pickled Summer Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. sliced squash
    2 c. onions, sliced
    2 c. red peppers
    2 c. green peppers
    1/4 c. salt
    1 Tbsp. pickling spices
    3 c. white vinegar
    3 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cover first five ingredients with cold water and let stand for 2 hours.
