Party Pecans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. pecan halves
    1/4 lb. butter (1 stick)
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 egg whites
    salt
Preparation
    Melt butter in shallow 14 x 16-inch pan.
    Beat egg whites, add sugar to make stiff meringue.
    Add pecans, coat them in the meringue.
    Place them in the buttered pan and bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
    Stir 3 times during the baking process.
    (Salt lightly when you put them in to bake.)
