Ramp Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. cornmeal (stone-ground)
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 lb. sausage, fried and broken in small pieces (use grease)
    1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    5 eggs
    2 c. chopped ramps (fresh or frozen)
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients. Beat eggs and milk together. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Bake in a greased 10-inch iron skillet in preheated oven at 400\u00b0 for about 40 minutes.
