Country Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. salt
1 c. dried milk
3/4 c. shortening
3 tsp. baking powder
1 to 1 1/2 c. water (depending on consistency of dough)
Preparation

Mix all dry ingredients; add water and shortening and beat to a shiny consistency.
The dough will be stiff enough to pour out on floured board or foil.
Sprinkle with flour.
Pat out with hand to 1-inch thick.
Cut out with biscuit cutter.
Bake on greased cookie sheet or pan.
Cover top of biscuits lightly with bacon drippings or melted butter.
Heat oven to 400\u00b0; bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
Makes 23 to 30.
