Scalloped Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 sliced Walla Walla onions
    1/4 c. chopped green pepper
    1 c. Swiss cheese, grated
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. butter
    2 Tbsp. chopped pimento
    1 c. crushed cracker crumbs
    3/4 c. milk or cream
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Melt butter in skillet; saute onions and green pepper.
    Stir in pimento; spread half of mixture in an 8 x 8-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with half of the cheese and crumbs.
    Repeat layers of onions and cheese.
    Beat eggs and cream; add salt and pepper and pour over onions.
    Top with remaining cracker crumbs and bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes or
    until set.
