Sauted Apple-Toasted Walnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. sweet butter
    4 apples
2 Tbsp. lime juice with pulp
    1/4 c. white grape juice
    1 tsp. lime peel
    1 Tbsp. maple syrup
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. walnuts, chopped
Preparation
In a large nonstick skillet, melt butter over low heat.
Toss apples with lime and pulp.
Add apples and saut 3 minutes.
Cover with foil and smother until tender.
Remove apples and place on serving dishes.
Add grape juice, lime peel, maple syrup, vanilla, allspice and nutmeg to the skillet and boil, stirring constantly, until the mixture becomes a syrup, about 2 or 3 minutes.
Toast walnuts by heating them in an ungreased nonstick skillet, stirring with wooden spoon, until they begin to brown and are fragrant. Pour syrup over apples.
Sprinkle with walnuts and serve warm. Makes 4 servings.
