Pineapple Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (14 oz. each) cans sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
    1 (about 14 oz.) can evaporated milk
    1 large pkg. vanilla pudding mix
    1 (about 20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, undrained
    1 qt. half and half
    1 c. sugar (optional)
    3 eggs
Preparation
    Combine the evaporated milk, pudding mix, crushed pineapple and beaten egg in top of a double boiler and cook over hot water until mixture coats a spoon.
    Cooking is recommended because it is not advisable to eat raw eggs.
