Homemade Crescent Rolls(My "Good Old" 4-H Recipe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. lukewarm water
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening, melted and cooled
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. salt
    5 c. flour (more as needed)
Preparation
    Mix the first three ingredients; let stand for five minutes. Add remaining ingredients; mix well.
    Turn into greased bowl; let rise until double in bulk.
    Punch down; divide into eight parts. Roll each part into a circle; divide into sixths or eighths. Brush with melted butter.
    Starting with wide end, roll into crescents.
    Let rise again until doubled in bulk.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
