Layered Garden Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped green peppers
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
    1 small onion, sliced thin
    4 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
    2 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. mustard
    4 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
    8 slices bacon, well done and crumbled
Preparation
    Break lettuce in bite-size pieces.
    Mix mayonnaise with sugar and mustard.
    Place all ingredients in a 9 x 13-inch pan in order as listed.
    Chill 8 to 10 hours before serving.
    Keeps well for several days.
    Be sure mayonnaise mixture covers entire top of salad.
