Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. cream
1 Tbsp. vanilla or almond
3 1/2 c. cake flour
2 Tbsp. baking powder
Preparation

Cream together and beat until light and fluffy 1/2 cup of shortening and 1 cup sugar.
Add 2 well-beaten eggs, 2 tablespoons cream, vanilla or almond and beat well.
Sift together cake flour, baking powder and add sifted dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Bake in moderate oven at 375\u00b0 for about 8 minutes, or until delicately brown.
