Chili Con Queso(Cheese Spread) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 bacon strips, fried and crumbled
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, diced
    1/2 tsp. crushed hot red pepper
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/2 tsp. fennel seed
    2 cans whole tomatoes (Italian), drained
    1/2 lb. sharp Mexican cheese, cut into chunks
    2/3 lb. Velveeta cheese, cut into chunks
Preparation
    Fry bacon; discard all but 2 tablespoons of fat.
    Add the remaining ingredients, stirring over low heat, until all is melted and blended.
    Serve hot or cold as a spread with crackers.
    Keeps well refrigerated.
