Texas Pecan Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. margarine
    6 eggs
    1 Tbsp. lemon extract
    4 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. white raisins
    4 c. broken pecans
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; add well beaten eggs and lemon extract.
    Add flour and baking powder, which have been sifted together with raisins and pecans mixed in flour.
    Blend well with sugar, eggs, butter mixture.
    Pour in well-greased tube pan and bake 2 hours at 275\u00b0.
    Do not overbake; may be done before 2 hours.
    Test with toothpick.
