Layered Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, broken in pieces
    1 (16 oz.) box frozen, uncooked peas
    4 to 5 slices cooked, crumbled bacon
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. diced celery
    4 hard-cooked eggs, diced
    1 onion, diced
    1/2 c. diced green pepper
    2 c. mayonnaise (not salad dressing)
    4 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Layer lettuce, celery, eggs, peas, onion, green pepper and bacon in a 13 x 9-inch container.
    Mix mayonnaise with sugar and spread on top like frosting.
    Top with cheese.
    Cover and refrigerate 12 hours.
    This is yummy and can be made the day ahead.
