Irish Whole Wheat Bread - cooking recipe

4 c. whole wheat flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Sift flour with all dry ingredients, make a well in center of the mixture and add the buttermilk.
Stir until well blended. Knead gently with a little flour for 1 or 2 minutes.
With back of knife, cut deep cross.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for an hour until golden brown.
