Date Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. chopped dates
1 c. nuts
1 tsp. soda
1 c. boiling water
2 to 3 Tbsp. oleo
1 1/4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 egg
dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Mix first four ingredients and let stand.
Mix remaining ingredients in a bowl.
Place in a greased loaf pan and bake at 300\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
