Pasta E Fagioli - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. Great Northern beans
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 clove minced garlic
1/4 c. parsley
1 whole ham hock
1 tsp. dried basil
1 bay leaf
6 c. water
1 large diced onion
1 shredded carrot
1 stalk thinly sliced celery
1 can stewed tomatoes
1/2 c. ditalini pasta
Preparation
-
Soak beans in 2 cups water.
Cook carrots, celery and onion until soft.
Add remaining ingredients.
Bring to a boil.
Cover and reduce heat.
Simmer for 2 hours.
Add beans and pasta.
Cook 12 to 15 minutes.
