Ingredients

1 1/4 sticks oleo
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
1 c. buttermilk
3 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. allspice
dash of salt
1 c. plus 1 Tbsp. fig preserves
2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Preheat
oven
to
325\u00b0.
Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan. Cream
oleo and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one
at a time.
Beat well.
Add vanilla, sifted flour, cinnamon,
allspice, salt
and
soda.
Add
alternately to creamed mixture
with buttermilk.
Add figs and pecans.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour, 300\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
