Applesauce Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    2 eggs
    4 c. flour
    2 tsp. allspice
    2 tsp. soda
    1 (1 lb.) unsweetened applesauce
    2 c. sugar
    3 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. cloves
    3 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream margarine, sugar, eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
    Sift together flour and spices.
    Add this to creamed mixture.
    Blend 2 teaspoons vanilla into applesauce and add soda.
    Blend with batter using a wooden spoon.
    Batter will be stiff so stir until well mixed.
    Spoon into greased muffin tins, filling 1/2 full.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
    Sprinkle warm tops with sugar, if desired.
    Batter will keep in refrigerator a few days.
