Never Fail Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour (all-purpose)
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. shortening (Crisco)
5 Tbsp. cold water
1 egg, beaten
Preparation

Mix all ingredients to make a soft dough.
Divide into 2 parts.
Roll very thin on floured surface.
Cut into strips about 2-inches by 2-inches.
Drop into simmering chicken broth.
Cook until done (about 15 minutes).
Can be used with any stewed wild game.
