Oven Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. flour
    dash of pepper
    2 Tbsp. Crisco
    1 1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 tsp. dried basil
    4 medium carrots
    4 medium potatoes
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 lb. beef chuck, cut into 1-inch cubes
    2 (10 oz.) cans condensed tomato soup
    2 soup cans water (2 1/2 c.)
    1 stalk celery, chopped
Preparation
    Combine flour, salt and pepper.
    Coat meat.
    In Dutch oven, brown meat in Crisco.
    Add soup, water, basil, onion and celery. Cover and bake at 375\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Remove from oven.
    Pare and cube the potatoes and carrots into 1-inch pieces.
    Cover and bake 1 hour at 375\u00b0 or until tender.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
