Gauteaux Francais(French Cake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    pinch of salt
    1/2 c. milk
    2 tsp. baking powder
    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar, salt, milk and baking powder in a baking dish.
    Spread batter evenly in a 9 x 9-inch pan.
    Melt butter in a bowl and add brown sugar and water.
    Pour over batter mixture in cake pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1/2 hour.
    Serve warm with whipped cream.
