Grandma'S Devil'S Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1/3 c. shortening
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/3 c. cocoa
    1/3 c. water
    1/3 c. granulated sugar
    1 2/3 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sour milk or buttermilk
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/8 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream 1 cup sugar and shortening until fluffy.
    Combine cocoa, 1/3 cup sugar and water and bring to a boil.
    Beat eggs into sugar and shortening mix.
    Pour cocoa mix into preceding and mix well.
