Icebox Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add beaten eggs and vanilla; blend well.
    Sift in dry ingredients; mix well.
    Stir in nuts. Using plastic wrap, roll into 3 or 4 logs; flatten ends.
    Wrap and chill well.
    Slice 1/4-inch thick with sharp knife.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes, or until edges are lightly browned.
    Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
