Date-Orange Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. oleo
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
8 oz. pkg. chopped dates

Preparation

Cream oleo and sugar; add beaten eggs and vanilla.
Sift flour; add alternately with buttermilk with soda added.
Add nuts and dates (roll them in part of the flour).
Cook in tube or loaf pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
