Almond Butter Crunch - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 c. butter
4 oz. chocolate bits
1/2 c. finely chopped almonds, lightly toasted
Preparation

Combine butter and sugar and heat slowly, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved.
Cook to hard crack stage (290\u00b0), stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
Add nuts and pour into buttered 8 x 8-inch pan.
When cold, melt the chocolate and spread over candy.
Sprinkle with more chopped almonds.
When firm, break into pieces.
This can be doubled.
