Wild Rice Casserole(Minnesota Delight!) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. wild rice
    1/3 c. brown rice
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 carrot, cut into matchsticks
    1 onion, chopped
    1 small zucchini, cut into matchsticks
    1 rib celery, chopped
    1/2 c. broccoli florets
    10 to 12 mushrooms, sliced
    1 c. grated mild Cheddar cheese
    1/4 c. sliced almonds (optional)
Preparation
    Rinse both kinds of rice and cook them together with salt in 2 cups water.
    Meanwhile, steam the vegetables briefly, 2 to 5 minutes. Toss rice and vegetables and turn them into a shallow baking dish. Top with cheese and almonds.
    Cook under broiler until cheese melts.
    Serves 4 to 6.
