Mom Almasy'S Brazil Nut Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. pitted dates (large)
    1 lb. shelled Brazil nuts
    2 c. whole English walnuts
    1 c. red or green cherries (candied)
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 tsp. melted butter
    5 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Stuff each Brazil nut into each large date.
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Add to fruits and nuts.
    Add butter.
    Beat eggs and add carefully.
    Mix gently with hands.
