Spanakopita (Spinach Pie) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 sheets filo (15 x 12-inch)
    1/2 c. butter, melted
    1 1/4 lb. fresh spinach
    salt
    2 eggs
    3 Tbsp. dill
    2 green onions with tops, minced
    2 c. cottage cheese (small curd)
    1 c. grated Feta cheese
    pepper
Preparation
    Cut filo sheets in half and place 10 pieces in an 11 x 7-inch pan, brushing pan and each sheet of filo with melted butter.
    Wash spinach and remove stems.
    Cut leaves in 1/2-inch lengths; mix with 1 tablespoon of salt and allow to stand 15 minutes.
    Beat eggs.
    Add parsley, onions and cheeses.
    Squeeze liquid from spinach and fold into egg mixture.
    Season with salt and pepper. Spread over filo sheets in pan and top with remaining 10 sheets of filo, brushing each sheet with butter.
    Bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 40 minutes.
    Cut into squares.
    Serve hot.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
