Pineapple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large (16 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    1 (6 oz.) box lemon Jell-O
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. cold water
    3/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    3/4 c. chopped pecans
    1 pt. Cool Whip
Preparation
    Mix sugar and pineapple together.
    Boil 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat and add Jell-O and water.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Place in refrigerator until it begins to thicken.
    Add Cool Whip, cheese and pecans.
    Let refrigerate overnight before serving.
