Sausage Apple Stuffing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. pork sausage
    1 large cooking apple, peeled and chopped
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 c. celery, chopped
    6 c. day old bread crumbs (about 12 slices bread)
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. poultry seasoning
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. sage
Preparation
    In a 5-quart saucepan over medium heat, brown 1 pound sausage, breaking apart with a fork.
    Remove from heat and drain off fat, all but 1/4 cup.
    Set aside.
