Beef Jerky - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 lb. lean meat
    1 pkg. McCormick meat marinade
    2/3 c. water
    1/3 c. liquid smoke
    1/2 Tbsp. black pepper
    1/2 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Slice meat 1/4-inch to 3/8-inch thick.
    Mix together all remaining ingredients.
    Add meat and let marinate for 1 to 2 hours.
    Drain meat and place in oven on rack for 8 to 10 hours at 150\u00b0.
    Check periodically after 7 hours to suit texture desired. This process can also be done in a dehydrator at the same temperature and time.
