Sausage Breakfast Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices bread
    butter
    1 lb. sausage
    1 1/2 c. (or 6 oz.) shredded Longhorn or Cheddar cheese
    6 eggs, beaten
    2 c. half and half
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Remove crust from bread.
    Spread butter on bread and place in greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish and set aside.
    Cook sausage until brown (stir to crumble), drain well and spoon over bread slices. Sprinkle with cheese.
    Combine beaten eggs, half and half and salt; mix well. Pour over cheese, cover and chill overnight.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until set.
    Bake, uncovered.
