Ingredients

small okra pods
1 tsp. salt
pinch of alum (about the size of a small pea)
white vinegar
2 small red chilies (optional)
2 small cloves garlic (optional)
Preparation

Select\tsmall okra pods; wash and dry.\tPack in sterilized jars.
Add\tsalt
and alum.
Bring to a boil enough white vinegar to cover okra.
Seal. Makes 1 pint.
