Cheddar Batter Bread - cooking recipe

1 Tbsp. cornmeal
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 pkg. quick-rising active dry yeast
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. milk
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
3/4 c. shredded Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese with jalapeno peppers (3 oz.)
1/2 c. cornmeal
Preparation

Grease an 8 x 4 x 2-inch loaf pan; sprinkle with the 1 tablespoon cornmeal.
Set aside.
