Lime Fluff(Congealed Salad) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (20 oz.) can pineapple (crushed)
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. lime Jell-O
    1 c. cottage cheese
    1 large carton Cool Whip
    1/2 c. pecans (optional)
Preparation
    Drain juice from pineapple into saucepan.
    Add Jell-O.
    Bring to a boil to dissolve Jell-O.
    Remove from heat and add pineapple and cottage cheese; stir.
    Blend in Cool Whip and nuts, if desired.
    Turn into 9 x 9-inch dish and chill.
    Cut into squares. Serve on lettuce leaf with crackers.
