Old Fashioned Potato Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 qt. water
1 tsp. salt
8 medium potatoes
1 lb. bacon
1 c. flour
1 egg
1 jar tomatoes
1 onion, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Heat water with salt to boiling in 2-quart pan.
Cube potatoes and cook in salted water.
Cook bacon, saving grease.
Cook potatoes until tender, then drain, saving the water.
Then brown the potatoes in the bacon grease.
While the potatoes are browning, mix the flour and beaten egg.
Add these to the potato water, stirring to separate and make riviets.
Cook until thick.
